Services / Built around your study

A clear scope.
A defensible result.

Specialist research and measurement for teams with a question, a dataset and a deadline.

Discuss your project

The core engagement

The multimodal
measurement project.

One agreed question, a defined set of source material and a fixed-fee proposal. We review feasibility before committing to the scope.

01—04

From source material
to research variables.

For principal investigators, research-centre teams and research partners studying consumer behaviour, service experience or technology adoption.

01

Define the measure

Research question, constructs, coding units and a codebook grounded in your study. Examples and exclusions are agreed before the main run.

02

Prepare and code the evidence

Source preparation, transcription or visual segmentation as agreed. AI-assisted coding with documented prompts, settings and source references.

03

Test the coding

A human validation plan with agreed coders and sample size. Separate checks for coding consistency and AI-to-human agreement, plus error analysis where appropriate.

04

Deliver and explain

A structured dataset, codebook, validation report, processing record and statement of limits. One review meeting and one agreed revision round.

Already have coded data?

Review the measure
before you rely on it.

A bounded review can examine an existing codebook, a sample of labels and the validation approach. The result is a documented assessment of weaknesses, required checks and next steps.

This is scoped separately from coding a full dataset. It is useful when your team needs a specialist second look at a specific measurement problem.

good research possible.

YOU BRING

The question and the material

  • Research objective and intended analysis
  • Data format and approximate volume
  • Permissions and ethics requirements
  • A deadline and purchasing route
WE AGREE

The method and the boundaries

  • Source preparation and coding units
  • Constructs, validation sample and coders
  • Deliverables, review points and timing
  • A fixed fee and approved environment
CLEAR FROM THE START

What needs a separate scope

  • Data collection and participant recruitment
  • Full manuscript writing or reviewer responses
  • Additional statistical models or languages
  • New questions or changed source material

Publication, authorship and statistical significance are never guaranteed. Authorship is discussed separately according to contribution and applicable research standards.

Data & ownership

Your study.
Your data.

We agree data access, permitted processing and retention before work begins. Where required, the work takes place in an environment your institution approves.

Client data and deliverables are not reused for other projects. Any rights to generalized methods are set out in the agreement.

Please send only a project description in your first enquiry. Research files follow an agreed sharing route.

Common questions

A few details
before the call.

Do you work with all four data types in every project?

No. We use the sources that answer the research question. Text, recordings, images and video each require different preparation, permissions and validation. Their suitability is assessed during scoping.

Can my team supply the human coders?

Yes, where appropriate. Coder responsibilities, training, independence and the validation sample are agreed in the scope. We distinguish human-to-human consistency from model-to-human performance.

How are fee and timing set?

After reviewing the question, source material and validation requirements, we provide a written scope, fixed fee and delivery schedule. Changes are agreed in writing before extra work starts.

Can you work with a research firm?

Yes. Avestara can take a defined measurement or analysis work package as a specialist partner. Responsibilities, client contact and deliverables are agreed before the project starts.
